Russia attracts visitors from all over the world with its enigmatic charm and the unique things it has on offer. Russia looks like re-awakening of the cultural traditions of the past with a new strength – ancient cathedrals are being rebuilt and restored, brisk and colorful markets are being developed once again, modern designed buildings and business centers are under construction. That is why Russia remains the ‘must-see’ destination.
The necessity for optimization and enhancement of business, scientific and cultural communications emerged together with the achievement by Russian business of key positions on the world market. In this context business travel makes its major contribution to the expansion of business contacts resulting in raising of the economic potential of Russia and its integration into the world community.
According to the statistics, approximately half of foreign visitors coming to Moscow and St. Petersburg arrive for business purposes. Thus, in 2006 they were nearby 4 million persons.
Moscow:
Capital of the Russian Federation and one of world’s major historical, business and cultural centers.

Infrastructure: There are four international airports, 9 railway stations and over 200 comfortable hotels. In 2007 another 50 hotels are expected to be opened.
Moscow opening to the world its business already housing over 1000 foreign-owned companies, unique cultural resources comprised of around 40 museums, 100 theatres etc., numerous restaurants and outstanding venues became one of the most attractive business travel destinations.
St. Petersburg:
The second largest Russian city after Moscow and is the closest Russian major city to Europe.
Population: 5 thousand inhabitants
Location: in the Neva River delta at the easternmost tip of the Gulf of Finland.
Infrastructure: There are three airports, six railway stations and over 200 hotels.
St. Petersburg is the important industrial and business center, home to over 700 foreign-owned large and medium-scale companies.
St. Petersburg is one of the major historical centers of Russia. There are about 150 museums, 30 palaces, 40 modern art galleries, over 100 theater companies and more than 2000 educational institutions in the city, and about 30 palaces.

The final match of Champions League UEFA 2008 in Moscow, the World Hockey Cup 2007 in Moscow, Annual Moscow International air show MAX, Moscow International advertising Festival 2007, Annual Moscow international film festival, Russian Steel Summit 2007, The G-8 Summit in Saint-Petersburg 2007, International music festival 2007, International figure skating cup, Summit Russia and European Union 2007 in Samara. Also this year Sochi became the capital of The Olympic Winter Games of 2014.
