Successful access 2006

From first contact to contract

On 2nd and 3rd October 2006 the Hofburg Congress Centre in Vienna once more was all congresses, meetings, and incentives „made in Austria“. Access 2006 offered an overview of the quality and variety of the Austrian congress, meetings, and incentive industries to 1274 domestic trade visitors and 290 international top decisionmakers.
A reason for joy not only for the 200 exhibitors but also the fair’s initiators – with a national trade visitor plus of 32.9% compared against the previous year this year’s access is Austria’s most successful and largest fair in this market segment. This was already the third edition of this highly successful trade show presenting the prime offers from tourism, the hotel industry, event marketing, and other service sector companies from the Austrian meeting and incentive scene. 
From informative and highly promising first contacts to the conclusion of contracts – the list of feedback from exhibitors and trade visitors at access 2006 is highly positive.
Karola Abraham (Masterfood Austria), for instance,  found an Austrian destination for her high-level incentive trip at access.
Thomas Michor (Managing Director of Villach-Warmbad / Faaker See / Ossiacher See Tourismus GmbH) and the team of the Congress Centre Villach rejoiced about the contract for the Go European Championship. As did Gerhard Walter (Director Lech Zürs Tourismus GmbH)  - his   Welltain® niche product met with huge interest from the trade visitors.
This year a total of roughly 800 visitors used the access academy, the access educational track. Highly renowned speakers incl. Prof. Dr. Felizitas Romeiß-Stracke, Dr. Jörg Kraigher-Krainer, and Univ. Prof. Dr. Wolf-Dieter Baumgartner managed to attract huge audiences to the specialist lectures and expert panels at the access academy on the topic of „Marketing through Brands“.
For the initiators of access – the abcn austrian business and convention network – the Austrian National Tourist Office, the ACB - Austrian Convention Bureau, Austrian Airlines, the RTK - Round Table Conference Hotels Austria and the Vienna Convention Bureau access is pointing out new directions: setting new impulses for the future, promoting communication and knowledge transfer, and once again reconfirm the industry’s vigor.
